Lock Your Screen When Away

It only takes seconds for someone to access your computer.

  • Always lock your screen (CTRL-ALT-DEL) when leaving your desk
  • Don’t leave devices unattended in public or shared spaces
  • Lock your screen even in “trusted” environments (colleagues, offices)
  • Be cautious of “shoulder surfing”—people watching your screen
  • Never leave sensitive information visible on your screen
  • Enable automatic screen lock after inactivity
  • Report if you ever find an unlocked workstation
  • Follow a clean desk policy alongside screen locking

👉 Unauthorized access can lead to data theft or misuse of your account. Unattended devices are one of the easiest ways attackers gain access. Physical access = full access. A few seconds is all it takes.
